Western Meadowlark
Sturnella neglecta

Singing, singing, singing; the beautiful and long lasting song of the meadowlark. The meadowlark has a special trick for foraging, it can stongly open its bill. It inserts its bill into grass snarls, opens wide, looks between its jaws and snatches its prey.
